Any thoughts? I have the Verizon 3G IPad2 and the data plan was set up and activated at the store but since buying it the other day I've only used the WiFi service. Last night I went to try it out with the 3G service but I can't get any type of signal from Verizon. I've turned off my WiFi and turned on the cellular service but nothing happens. I live in an area that has perfect 3G service so I know that's not the problem. Also when I log into my Verizon account it appears to be up to date and activated. I'm I missing something here? Is there a step I'm missing to turn the service on?

Thanks

you are the second person I've heard have troubles getting a signal on a verizon ipad. Your best bet is to go to a local verizon store where they can see things from their end and on your iPad at the same time to more fully troubleshoot the problem.

Looks like it just needs to be exchanged.

Have you tried to get a signal at a different location?

Thanks for the help. I ended up calling Verizon tech support and they had to resend a signal and have me do a reboot of the IPad. Works fine now.

Also had the same connection issue

If I left the house in wifi mode then switched to 3G my Verizon iPad would just say "searching..." after two calls to Verizon the only instructions were to reprovision the account. This issue continued and after reprovioning the account 5 times return to the Apple store for the AT&T model!:)

Does it show you have a signal? How many bars are showing. Try changing locations but if it does not work at home that is not bad.

My AT&T gets full bars but is still slow in comparison to WiFi!

Usually 3G is slower and has higher latency compared to Wi-Fi.

You didn't know this?
