apple doesn't generally do that with computers, besides it would have to be a quiet announcement as they have not sent invitations to anyone to attend this "announcement"
Monday they are giving their 3Q report to investors. They'll say how many billions they made (blowing away the guidance they gave for 2Q), give really conservative guidance for how much money they will make next quarter, and then proceed to not answer any questions.

No, i hope not. I just bought a new blackbook, but if it is macbook pros only then sure that's ok. Still don't think so though
I told my mother to go a new Macbook if it comes out this Tuesday... I'm kind of sick solving crashes, finding stuff, etc on her Windows computer. I don't hate Windows at all, just that I find she's a natural on OS X--my Dad bought a Macbook Air and she was instantly in love with the whole computer...
