okay to keep opening and closing program through dock?

quick question...i use firefox as my main browser and i set the setting for the cookies to be deleted everytime i close firefox...

so this is why i always close firefox by right clicking the dock and close...

just wondering if its okay to do this...to keep opening and closing the program...

im just use to closing the program fully instead of keeping it on...

this is only program i do this on..

is it okay? or not even a big deal?
