i'm going to be making my mbp purchase very soon (within 24 hours) and i can't come to a decision. the only differences that will matter to ME is the extended battery life and the 4 gb of ram.
ram can always be upgraded and the battery life won't matter too much as long as i have an outlet near me.

so the deciding factor...
i wanted to know if the current 13" inch mbp has a better screen than the old generation 15" mbp?

depends if you like matte or glossy better

i like matte better, but it is personal preference

yepp i like matte more than glossy too, apart from the 7 hour battery life gain, u ll lose out on the dedicated graphics as the 256mb 8600gt beats the integrated 9400 hands down!

you can upgrade your mbp to 4gb ram instead of getting the 13" glossy!

so u ll be losing out alot more than gaining! also dont forget the loss of the firewire 400 port!

I think that the 2.4Ghz MBP is actually the better machine. The only downsides are that you battery will last about 4 hours instead of 7.

With the 15" you get a bigger screen, two GPUs a removable battery, and the express card slot.

2.4 hands down I will be buying one tomorrow it rarely is off a outlet, and the 7 hour battery was not that great on my 13" MBP
