Are Aperture Vaults good for anything? I have two external hard drives with the vaults. I'm not sure if they serve any purpose now that aperture's long gone.

Old Aperture Vault Back-ups, what to do?

Aperture's is not yet "long gone" (although support ended some time ago").
It's still around, and it can still run.
Could you use Aperture to open those vaults, then export the originals in them to another drive?
(Unless you already have those originals stored elsewhere).
