Hey all, I have been thinking about switching to a mac for a few months and am waiting for the new macbooks to come out soon now that I have some money saved up. Right now all I have is a Dell Dimension 4600 PC. It has a Pentium 4 2.4 ghz processor and 1.25 gb or RAM. I am wondering how much of an improvement a new macbook would be, say with a new 2.4ghz processor and 2 gb of ram (which could be what the new macbooks are)? I mean I know the OS is a huge improvement in itself but was just wondering if it will be significantly faster than what I'm used to. Thanks!

it would be significantly faster as the processor has two cores compared to your desktop PC which only has a single. plus having 2 GB of RAM will make it more snappy than the 1.25 GB you had before.
