So I have a fully functioning iPhone 4S and iPad Air 2 both on their latest OS’s. I signed into my iPhone 4S about year ago and almost immediately, it corrupted most of my HomeKit accessories. My Hue lights were acting weird, couldn’t add accessories and a lot of my accessories became unresponsive. I deduced this after I factory reset the 4S and redid my whole HomeKit setup. For the past year, I been running the iPad Air 2 as a central wall mounted controller this time using a different iCloud account and with an invitation to the home. Been having issues with my Leviton Decora switches staying on the network and after uninviting the Air 2 from my HomeKit, the switches seemingly stay on now.

*Edit* forgot to mention. One of my OneLink Smoke/CO detectors also went no response in HomeKit until I removed the iPad Air 2

Just curious if anyone with HomeKit issues of any magnitude is using older hardware.
