I have an old iBook Laptop Model A1005, and I am looking to upgrade the Operating System a bit, as the current Operating System does not accept an external wireless card. Can anyone help ?

That is a 2002/2003 iBook G3 so the maximum operating system will be OS X Tiger 10.4.11 which actually runs nicely provided Dashboard and some other pigs are disabled. You can either get an Ethernet adapter or a USB dongle that is compatible with Tiger like the Netgear WNA1000m or WG111. TenFourFox G3 with eyoungren's tweaks installed will offer basic web browsing on that machine.
