I'm considering buying an iBook G4 (so it can run leopard) to replace my aged mac mini [for the time being, until I save up for an MBP]. I saw one for roughly 50$ on eBay with no bids, ending in 2 days. I'm asking a friend in the US to do the ordering (since I'm not sure they ship here). If its worth it, I'll ask him to add a dollar bid on it, and basically win.

Is it worth the low ram and slow processor?

Why not just use the Mini and that Acer in your sig for a while longer and save that 50 dollars towards the MBP. It's 50 dollars less you'll have to earn.

Seems that iBook has a line with dead pixels.
My experience is once those occurs, more will follow..

as you already got a acer aspire just install snow leo on it job done
no need any more for a MBP :)
