So, on a whim, I configured Mail to get my gmail... but I realized I had way too many and changed my mind. So I disabled the account and the emails disappeared. However, I'm in the habit of searching via Spotlight for any remnants when I remove anything. Oddly enough, Spotlight returns email hits of emails that I can't see in Mail. I tried "Erase Deleted Messages", but they still turn up in Spotlight.

Does anyone know how I can get rid of emails from a disabled email account from Mail?

EDIT: Ah, I had to bring the account back online, delete the emails, erase deleted messages and then take it offline again...
