I don't know if it is just me.. which is why I am writing this. But does anyone else feel that calling the first generation iPad old seems a little wrong? does not sound right.

I myself am most likely picking up my first iPad later today in the form of an iPad 2, however I can't justify calling the original iPad OLD just yet..

the thing is less then a year old!

I was just wondering if I was the only one who felt this way?

How about Ancient iPad? 1/3 thicker and 9 times slower, lol.

LOL well I think "old" sounds better in that case.

and so have I moyank.. my sister has original and whenever I mention it I start to say old because of reading it almost everywhere and stop myself to say either the first or original.

Maybe when 3 comes out it will sound more reasonable..

It doesn't feel old we are just brainwashed as a society to have the latest and greatest as of yesterday. Sad to say but its the truth. I don't think I will call it old but will always think of it as the original and refer to the newer ones as iPad2 (**cough 1.5**) and iPad3, etc.

I just call my iPad, iPad or the iPad 1

tbh, I really don't give it too much thought.

I'm selling my iPad 1 which I listed as an iPad Classic.

Yes, I have an Ipad Classic -- that's what I've been thinking too. Of course it's not old! It's the original...the one and only original. The ipad that changed the world, not the skinny brother who tried to take all the credit a year later.

Just to make this even more convoluted, the box that the iPad 2 comes in simply states it's an iPad. A the accessories for the iPad 2, like the new dock, also just say iPad.

Vintage iPad here. with Unlimited data, thank you.
