Hi all
I have had a 3G S for a while (syncing with and set up on my MacBook Pro 17") and my old, first generation, iPhone has been largely inactive since I upgraded. I now plan to use it as a remote in my new 'grand plan' MacBook Pro (15" with a broken screen) powered home theatre setup.
My question is, can I plug it in and sync it with the 15" MBP? Can a de-activated iPhone (with Airport mode & Wi-Fi turned on) be used as a fully functioning iPod Touch, upgrading the firmware and installing apps as you would a normal iPod Touch?
Thanks in advance for advice / help!
