Hi all,

I have one of the older iPods with the scroll wheel and four buttons across the top. My niece has a new iPod Nano

I only have a dial up connection so getting the latest ipod update and itunes is troublesome.
My question: Can I use the CD that came with the Nano to install iTunes on my PC and have it work with my iPod. Does the CD contain this firmware update I've heard about. Apologies in advance for my ignorance. I'm middle aged.

I doubt it will have firmware for your iPod. You can however, use that CD to update to a newer version of iTunes. It may not be the newest, but it should be pretty close.
