iPod touch Old Ipod Touch sync issues

Hi Everyone,

I'm on Catalina, and just tried to sync two of my old iPod touches (2nd/3rd gen). All I get, in both the Finder and in music, is a spinner saying "Loading" which eventually turns into "The selected device could not be found."

Has anyone figured out a way around this besides using another Mac that's not on Catalina?

Oddly enough, I rebooted my Mac and one of the iPod touches started to sync...go figure. I successfully synced it, which is great. I plugged the second one in and...it finally showed up in the Finder and in Music. Weird. Good, but weird.

Yep. The old ones are twitchy. Don't know if there's a magic spell one needs to recite but generally, some combo of plugging, unplugging and rebooting combined with patience does the trick.
