Hello!

I have an older Mac mini, 2014,, running the most up to date version that seems to easily be allowed (Monterey 12.6.3). It seems that this old version of Apple Music constrains my playback, I do not see full playlists, and the remote app doesn't work correctly (it doesn't see full playlists for some reason).

My more recent main computer (2019 MacBook Pro) running up to date Apple Music / osx seems to work fine with Apple Music.

Question... is there any way I can get my old Mac mini (running Monterey 12.6.3 from 2014) running modern Apple Music (1.5.1.24)?

Thanks,
Richard

Edit: Now that I re-read your post, I see you're using Apple Music... as a service? I thought you meant the app. Sorry I have no familiarity with the Apple Music service, as I'm old enough to have a local library of ripped CDs!

I don't know if there's any way to get a Music.app from a newer macOS to run on an older macOS. I guess one could simply copy the app and see if it works...

An alternative idea: I have a 2012 Mac Mini running Mojave and iTunes (i.e., before the Music.app replaced it). It is working nicely as a "music server" for my needs. I think your 2014 could run Mojave. Of course, Mojave is out of date with respect to security fixes, but I don't use that machine for internet access so don't feel too bad about the risk.
