Can you still buy "old" macbooks in store today? Or only as refurbs on the website?
 
I'm sure Apple Stores still have some kicking around.

Also, there's the $999 online that's not a refurb.

Also, BestBuy stores will have them still, and Amazon will still have them online for a while.
 
Be sure and check the price of the "old' black macbook. Apple is blowing them out for $1099 in the refurb store.
 
Well, the white MacBook is apparently still in production, so retail stores must have the "new version" of that (low-end with SuperDrive).

Otherwise I would suggest phoning the retail stores near you - nobody else can give you a better idea of their inventory than them.
