Looks like Apple forgot to add the new mail icon under iCloud storage with the GM:

I wonder, are those icons pulled from the ios device, or are they pulled from iCloud?

No idea. I just deleted every iCloud backup I had and started a fresh one. You would think the new one would have shown up.

Confirmed on this one.

Touché, Apple!

It's been there since beta 1, I think... how did they not notice this?

Maybe Ivy wanted to leave a few nostalgic bits hidden away here and there :)

That's why it's weird. Why would there be a separate icon specifically for the icloud? The only thing that (well, not really, but kinda) makes sense, is if the icloud servers have their own set of icons, stored remotely and they just haven't been updated yet, because iOS 7 isn't out yet, officially.

That sucks.

I actually really like the new Mail icon. Hope icloud changes and the icons dont revert.

Maybe when iCloud is fully upgraded to iOS 7 (iCloud.com) then the icon will change? Because its iCloud related, not iOS related. You get the same icon on Mac/PC when you go into iCloud storage settings and whatnot.

Not to mention the iPhone in the picture above (on same screen) is running iOS 6

My icon is correct (iOS 7 version).

EDIT: Never mind; I didn't drill down far enough and don't back up my mail to iCloud. I don't have a Mail icon on that screen.

This makes sense to me.

Pre iOS 7:

You download an app and it stores things in iCloud. So Apple upload the icon for that app as soon as its started to backup data in iCloud. That app icon that gets uploaded is for the version of the app that was installed when it started the backup.

After iOS 7:

The old icon still appears because the data backed up was backed up on iOS 6. Apple can't pull the icon from the Apps that are installed because you may not have all the apps currently installed so it makes sense that they have uploaded the icon when the backup was initiated.

Result:
Old icon shows up because that icon was what was uploaded when the Mail was first backed up.

Except for the fact that I just deleted every old backup. This is a brand new backup on iOS 7 GM.

I think the icons are server side.. Because it is displaying previews witch isn't even used on the phone...

I just noticed something.. Why is voicemail saved in iCloud??
