Old phone stuck transferring at 1 minute but new works

My old X is stuck on Transferring Data About 1 minute remaining. The new iPhone already restarted and is running/useable with what appears to be all my content.

Any idea why? Should I cancel the transfer?

Hi! I decided that after being on ‘1 min remaining’ for over half an hour it was a glitch. I checked the new phone and everything was fine and stopped the transfer. Nothing happened. I’ve now erased the old phone ready to sell on.

I called Apple Support. They told me to leave it go for a while and if the message doesn't go away to restore through iCloud.

mine was stuck at 6 mins. I reset the new phone and started again. it completed the 2nd time, but my watches aren't paired :/

I finally erased the phone and reinstalled from cloud with no problem. Wondering if this is a way for Verizon to try to hit you for watch fee again.

I ran into this yesterday with my mini. A lot of the apps appeared to be stuck half way downloaded. I had to wipe the new mini and start over. The second phone to phone transfer was successful.

I let it go for hours, no change - stuck at 1 minute. Since the new phone was functional, I just stopped everything. So far, the new phone works just fine. The old phone has since been wiped. The only setup I had to do was bluetooth devices and ApplePay credit cards.

Have encountered the same issue with my Mini. Most apps are transferring. But about a page worth of stuff that is either "Waiting" or "Loading". Will let it go for another hour or so and see what happens...

Using bad form and replying to myself...I just stopped the transfer.

Then like others have done here, I wiped the iPhone Mini 12 and started over again. This time it went through without an issue. <shrug> Phone is up and running and so far it looks like everything transferred as it should.

I'm noticing the same transferring from XR to 13 mini. The XR has been on "About 3 minutes" for just about an hour. I'll leave it for a bit more, but I'm sure it's actually finished. The new phone seems fine and it did restart as expected during the migration, so I'm guessing the old XR just lost the plot/didn't get the memo... heh...
