Does apple not include the Power adapter extension cable anymore with the macbook? https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK122LL/A/power-adapter-extension-cable

Can we use our old extension cables with the new 140W power brick?
I was just about to ask this, so thanks for asking. Based on the unboxing videos I watched last night, the extension cable is no longer included. I was wondering if I could use my Late 2013 MBP extension cable on the new charger.

The current extension cable they're selling has a compatibility list:

I don't see why you couldn't use your old extension cable since that part is delivering the power from your outlet to the transformer (brick). This has no affect on how Apple delivers power to the product plugged in on the other end.

It's a bit frustrating they didn't just include the extension cable in the box and want another $20 to buy it seperately

I don't think everyone uses them. Excess electronic waste. Keep it green. Who knows.

I've always used them but a friend of mine never takes it out of the box. And she's on her 3rd MacBook.

They've not included the power cable for many years now.

Yes, you can use old cables with the new adapter.
