Old Powerbook Has Trouble Reading CDs

Ok, on my Powerbook in sig whenever I put a CD in it stays in for about 20 sec and then spits it back out, but when I boot up with the CD in it reads it just fine. This is making me mad because I'm trying to install the Burning Cruasde, and it is four discs. Please help ASAP.

Sounds like the drive is failing, You could order a replacement / upgrade to the superdrive for ~$200 or find a cheap firewire / usb CD drive to use.

Have you tried running a lens cleaner?

You could try recalibrating the laser. You'd have to disassemble the drive, but it might be worth a try.
