Old purchase problems

So today I tried to view some older content and for some of my purchases it won't let me watch. It shows that I've made the purchase but when I try to go into the show it says that the content is no longer available. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same issue as well but getting a message it's not available in the US store.

I spoke to Apple last night turns out that our purchases aren't guaranteed. We're still supposed to download a backup copy. So I was advised to go buy an external hard drive and download all the effected content before I lose it.
