Hi, so I don't usually use these types of forums but being in this situation I had no other option. Being me, after noticing the amount of dirt and dust in the ports of my early 2013 macbook (A1452 EMC 2672) I decided to clean it in 2016. Cleaning the ports was not enough for me since I saw people open their laptops and clean the fans and such from dust. I decided to do the same, but having no knowledge whatsoever, I didn't realize that I could break something and break I did.
1. I opened all the keys and colored them in for cool effect (this was a couple years ago and I thought it would be a neat idea at the time) and when I did this I accidentally broke some ribbon cables underneath and some keys stopped working. I fixed this sort of because of key remappers (thank god) but it is a pain to use it.
2. I damaged pin connector for one of the fans so it does not work, so under load only one spins.
3. I removed thermal paste completely and never replaced it.
4. The speakers sound worse, but I do not know if I broke them. The last time I opened it was a long time ago so I can't remember (mid 2016?)
5. The display hinges also have some issues, but I think I may fix them now if I opened it again. (I have opened way more electronics and I am better at fixing them)
6. The power button doesn't work so I have to keep it sleeping. If it goes t zero, then I have to connect it to outlet, disconnect battery so it starts charging, then reconnect it. Basically, a lot of issues.

TL;DR so my issue is I have no idea what to do with the laptop since I broke it so much. It's been laying around collecting dust so I am trying to give it a second chance. I looked at trying to find replacement parts and the totals come out to about 1,000 USD. Is it worth fixing to resell it? The profit margin may be really small or not existent but at least someone will have a working laptop. Personally, I have a new laptop and I have no use for this one. Or should I try to sell it as is and hope to get some money out of it? Any feedback would be appreciated.
