Old safari update for a Newbie

Hi. I'm running Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) on a G4 with OS 10.3.9.

Safari used to be great but seems to be slowly dying (e.g. can't move to next page on eBay, can't pay on eBay).

I am having to use Firefox but don't like it.

Is there anything I can do to resurrect my old mate (apart from lashing out on new hardware)?
