Old School Airport Extreem

How can I tell if my old school Airport Extreem, the one that is coned shaped is running the n version of wireless, rather than the g?

Also is n have a better range than g?

I need to get a better range of singnal. I can only use the airport in part of my house.

AFAIK (and I own one) the round AEBS is only b/g. Can't comment on n range as I've never used one.

The cone shaped on is b/g. it might be a/b/g, but it definitely doesn't support N.

the above posters are correct in that the older base station does not support the n protocol.
