So recently, getting back into retro gaming, I found DOSPad. (http://litchie.net/) It's a DOS emulator for the iOS. With iPhone 5s coming out, gaming on emulators could easily become much more advanced. Essentialy, you can play games like Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Heroes of Might and Magic, and even freaking Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.
Here is a video how to get it and how to install games on it:

I'll update this thread in a bit with all the links and a tutorial for those who couldn't follow the video. Keep in mind, you have to be jailbroken, but who knows? Someome could smuggle a dos emulator in the app store too =D.

dospad has not been updated in ages. so its not going to take advantage of iphone 5s.

With that I was reffering to dos emulators as a whole. DOSPad is the best at the moment, but with the capability of A7, some emulators could reach new heights.

I certainly like the idea of this. Even playing Ascendancy on the old iPad is quite good fun.

Dune 2 would be a big one for me. Although I wish I enjoyed the retro games today as much as I did back then, but alas, it's mostly for some poetic reminiscence and nostalgia than actual gaming.

Yet a lot of the games on the app store lack the effort put into them. Get this, something like Ultima 7. There can be loads of games with better graphics and engine, but Ultima 7 was all around better done, since it was made as a big game back then. The mechanics of the game, the story, characters and what not. And most games on the app store are just time killers like angry birds. It lacks triple a games with days of gameplay.
