Hi everyone,

I'm contemplating buying a MacMini (July 2011 model) but I doubt whether my old flat screen can be attached to it. If I'm not mistaken, the MacMini has an HDMI port and a Thunderbolt port for screen connection. My 2002 Apple Cinema Display accepts only ADC connections.

Is there an adapter which will allow me to use this screen ? In spite of its age, it is still in perfect working condition. I have just checked it with Pixel Tester and the results are pretty good.

Browsing the web, I found a rare DVI to ADC adapter, quite expensive. Is it the one I need ?

Thanks to anyone who can help !

I believe this is what you are looking for. http://bit.ly/nlMMp7

Apple no longer makes this but I believe there are several others on the market that do the same thing. Do some Googling. At that price you could probably buy a new display. http://bit.ly/nGeKmi or one with HDMI built in. http://bit.ly/o8Eem9

Thanks for your reply KScottMyers. Indeed, some screens are cheeper than the adapter, be it a second hand one !
