I just got an iPhone 3GS replaced by Apple out-of-warranty. I love my 3GS for travel and it's simply cheaper to replace it ($150) than buy a new phone (well if I buy a new phone it'd be 4S for $650).
Anyways the replacement arrived today and of course I will jailbreak it, but first I usually backup the SHSH blobs in case I need to restore later.
Well my "new" phone connected to TinyUmbrella, I noticed it was pulling all these old blobs from Cydia.
I assumed Apple would wipe the device and reassign a new UUID, but it looks like they do recycle. So now I have a bunch of old firmware I can restore to like 4.1, etc.
Has anyone else noticed this with their replacement devices from Apple?
