I was the victim of an original 500 GB Time Capsule that died on me a few months back. I replaced it with a 2 TB Time Capsule and took out the old hard drive that was in the dead TC and connected it to the new one via a SATA to USB adapter.

It works just fine, except every now and then it disconnects on its own. And I can't figure out why.

I can disconnect the cables and reconnect them and it mounts just fine again, but I can't figure out why it disconnects. I also can't figure out when it does this either. Sometimes it lasts a couple days. Then other times it will disconnect within 30 minutes of reconnecting.

I will say that I am accessing this wirelessly through the 2 TB Time Capsule's usb port and am running the latest version of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jake.
