I no longer have a TV with airplay 2 capabilities but it remains as a choice to airplay on both my iPhone and iPad running iOS 13.4.1 (I’m not updating the Phone software due to dystopian tracking code in later versions - iPad OS has been updated, however).
Note I removed the old tv from the Apple ID, reset network settings and power cycled the phone. The tv is still there as an option when I go to select a device to airplay under “speakers and tv.”
Does anyone know how to remove old devices from this list?
