older apogee duet firewire 400/800

I have an earlier duet (not sure if they've changed) I got with my older macbook, worked great.
It hs firewire 400, I'm getting ready to order a new imac with the 800. Will is just plug in and work or need replaced/adapter?

You'll need a new firewire 400 to 800 cable. Thats all.
I think Apogee dealers sell them now. Or any good computer store should have them also Im pretty sure official Apple stores carry Belkin branded ones actually.

An adapter will work as well. I just picked one of these up, works fine.
