Older Apple TV models & Netflix

Does anyone think the Older Apple TV's will get an OS refresh that allows for Netflix streaming, or is the CPU just too underpowered for something like that?

Just wondering if I should shell out the $99 for a new Apple TV now, or keep my fingers crossed for Netflix streaming capability on my old 160gb unit.

Ars Technica says no, there will be no software update for older Apple TVs to give them the new functionality. See the last sentence in the linked article.
