Older Cinema Display compatible with newer MacBook Pro?

I have a 23" cinema display from November of 2006. Is this compatible with my newer MacBook Pro, which is from June 2009. It's not the most recent MBP - I bought it just before they refreshed the line a week or two later.

If the display will work, which adapter do I need? Micro DVI? Mini DisplayPort?

The Cinema Display is Single Link DVI-D and it looks like the MBP has a Mini DisplayPort. I think this is what I need: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A.
