Older mac moni

Hi there everyone
We have an older Mac mini that has digital out and it decided to give us a flashing screen. The new ones Mac minis do not have digital out
We have music on this Mac mini and have it hooked up to our stereo system digitally and here about a week ago the screen has started flashing
I would love to get this working and I am wondering if anyone knows how to do it.. we have a program called amarra on it as well and that is what plays the music

Mac mini does not have built-in display so how do you know the issue is not your external display? Have you tried a different external display w/ same results?
