Older Macbook has yellow screen tint

I have a late 2006 Macbook, and my dad has an early 2009 Macbook. I was comparing the two today and noticed that there was a significant difference between their LCDs. My dad's Macbook has a lighter, more normal display. While mine has a yellow tint to it and is darker. Both computers were on the same display profiles and both had the same brightness set.

Is this just how LCDs are as they age? Or is mine really not supposed to have that yellow tint?

Could be age, could also be a model of LCD difference.

Also, you can't necessarily share color profiles between different computers as each model of panel has it's own color response.

I'd take yours through a calibration setup using SuperCal and see if you can't normalize it a bit.

I have noticed the same thing. Got a new 17 inch MBP, and when I look at the screen on the MacBook (early 2008 revision), its as yellow as a smokers teeth. Personally I think its a combination os cheap screens and age, but I don't know.
