My old macbook met its demise via a long island ice tea. It still has its ram and hdd. Can anyone tell me what would happen if I used one of those external hard drive enclosure that OWC sells. will i be able to pull and data from it and can i use the ram in my 13' mbp?

You can use any SATAII 2,5" enclosure. This is pretty simple stuff and cheaply available in any computer store.

As for the RAM, please tell us exactly what generations your old and new MBs are. Or, check at www.everymac.com to get information about the RAM in different models/ generations.
