I have an older MPB that the battery is dead on. I'm looking at replacing it since the computer still runs fine for what I need. I was looking over at OWC and came across their NuPower® Batteries for MacBook Pro 15 (2006-2008). I was wondering if anyone had experience with these batteries. 80 is much more appealing than 130 for an apple brand.

You take your chances with any third party battery, and there are horror stories. The charging circuits/smart interface are Apple patented.

Personally I won't use anything but an Apple battery, I've tried too many third party ones on other laptops over the years and they're never the same as OEM.
