OMG! 15 hours for stabilization

OK I just imported 1 hour of HD video via iLife09... and checked the analyze for stabilzation. It is in the process right now of soing that and is reporting 15 hours!!! Can I cancel that and still have my video so I can ddo post processing on it and stabalize it then??? Can't believe this will really take that long

That's around 100.000 thousand frames right there, give or take.

iMovie is really poorly multithreaded, in my (admittedly limited) experience.

Indeed. That tool is intended for short clips (takes) where camera shake is a problem - not entire acquisition footage imports.
