OMG i need help!!!!

there are a few apps that all of the sudden, wont open!!!
(limewire, photoshop CS, imageready, VLC media player)
the dock icon bounces one time. thats it then nothing happens.

please help any way you can, thank you!!

the only thing that these apps have in common is that they are NOT universal, big problem here??

let me guess... you ran monlingual? and then you went on and deleted the ppc files.

the problem is fixed. i restarted.
but no i didnt run that monlingual thing
and what else could have caused this?

Rosetta was just probably bugged out, and it was fixed with your restart. Rosetta is the emulation layer that runs PPC apps on intel macs.

Really, there is no way for us to accurately guess. We don't have enough information. The fact that it went away when you restarted indicates it was a transient problem. Had you just finished installing something? Installing software updates? Had one program freeze on you so you had to force quit?

The standard recommendation at this point is to open Disk Utility and do a Repair Permissions.

nah i wasnt installing anything, no other problems, just at random went to open photoshop, didnt work, so i tried other apps, PPC ones didnt work so idk
