When pressing any wrong key combo my Macbook BEEPS and flashes the screen. Is there a way to turn this off? Its driving me crazy.

NM... found it in sounds. Ugh...
 
Go into System Preferences>Universal Access and turn it off.
 
System Preferences > Universal Access > Hearing > Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs
