Recently I went on vacation in San Francisco and used their buses and trains to get around everywhere, and one thing that I found myself doing constantly while on the public transit was staring at a maps app to check where I currently am and how far away the bus or train stop was. I wished the maps app could just alert me when I reached the destination so I could take a nap or do something else on my phone.

I checked the App Store to see what was available for bus alarm apps, and was sorely disappointed with how out-of-date most of them were (still had an iOS 6 UI) and how poorly designed they were. So I decided to make my own.

OmniBuzz features an easy-to-use, intuitive alarm placement system. It is mostly gesture-based, but you can also search for any location and place an alarm there. You can also set the alarm radius through gestures (pinching inside the circle or panning the edge of the circle) or manually enter a distance. It remembers the history of alarms you have set, so you can reuse them, and give them custom names to help you remember.

OmniBuzz also has a companion Apple Watch app, which you can use to either check how far you have to go, or to set an alarm from your recently used alarm list.

If you take public transportation, I would love for you to try out the app and provide feedback! I'm always looking to make improvements to it to make it the best bus alarm app.
