oMP 8 core 3.2ghz vs oMP 12 core 2.6ghz

Keeping it quick
I need a mac and one that can play demanding games
I like that oMP can upgrade the graphics card, I feel they last that bit longer
Options:

12 core 2.6ghz - good multi core performance but for gaming higher ghz may be more beneficial

8 core 3.2ghz - bad benchmark results but is real word performance may be different?

6 core 3.2ghz good benchmark results but will the 8 perform better as same speed just more cores

Maybe the 8 core 3.2 is a 3,1 and the other Macs are newer 5,1?
