Shut off the monitor without shutting off anything else? It's running 10.3.9. I want to do this so that I can use a bigger, newer monitor I just got without wasting the power/processes that go into powering a seperate monitor.

Anyone know how to?

Thanks!

System Preferences -> Energy Saver

"Put the display to sleep when the computer is inactive for:" and just set the time there.

But that puts the other monitor to sleep, also, and I can actually use the computer like that.

Thanks for the input though :)

I don't think there's anyway to disable power to an iMac's monitor short of unplugging it on the inside (power or video) when you're using an external monitor.
