On a Verizon 4S, how do I open the SIM pod bay door?

I see the little hole for a paper clip. I put one in there and the door didn't unlock. I don't want to pull too hard and break off the little piece.

So, is there a secret handshake? Words of love? What? Or is this what you mean as "locked" until Verizon unlocks it?

No sim in a Verizon phone.
If you are referring to the side slot then yes you have to use a paperclip and push hard.

Not true.

A paper clip will work, but it requires a bit of pressure. Make sure the paper clip is going in straight and not at an angle and push down FIRMLY; the SIM tray will pop up.
