? On battery

If I charge my phone when it's at say 40% and only charge till about 90-95% will it make the battery die faster? I know some smart phones operate that way, where if you don't charge to full the battery will die quicker.

Does it harm the battery? Or just make it die faster?

it'll probably degrade it a little bit, but batteries are cheap anyhow so you can replace them.
