On hold with Apple for over a half hour!

so i called my apple store to ask if they have any in stock today, and for the past half hour, all i have heard is bad music and "there are more then 8 calls ahead of you." Are that many people complaining/returning, or does everyone want one? Ugh i just have one question! just wanted to vent!

Not sure if you know this or not, but the iPhone4 was released yesterday at all Apple Stores. People are waiting in lines for hours upon hours. Today is going to be extremely busy too.

They're not answering your call because they're activating phones at a record speed. DUH!!!

Shocking. I can't fathom why their phone lines would be so busy.

If you're calling anytime this weekend, I think anything up to a 4 hour hold time would be a reasonable expectation.

I just called mine and it only took me 10mins.
