On June 19th will you be getting the Black Iphone 3gs? or the White one??

Getting my very first iphone: white 16gb.

Now that the white iphone 3GS isn't the pricier option, how many people do you think will be sporting the white ones now that it's not an extra $100?
 
I like the black better. I think the white is a bit weirder. It has been known to crack a bit more often, but that could be a bunch of different factors, one being that they are more noticeable on white. But there really aren't any major differences. I like the glossy black though and the white is just meh for me.

The white iPhone never cost 100 bucks more....

3G 8GB was only available in black. If you wanted white it was an extra $100 since it was 16GB.

That's an extra $100 for white iphone (and +8gb), right?

Oh yeah lol. I thought you were saying the black 16 was 299 and the white 16 was 399.

i got a white 3g day one, and will be getting another white 16 gig, the Monday after the Friday launch. my phone now isnt the prettiest. but i love the white. the black is just so bland ill pass on that jazz white forever :-D with my orange case ill have my self and orange sherbet iphone :)
 
I HAD a White one, mostly because I hated the way the black one smudged. It was disgusting. Also, because it was the more expensive option,and it made me look cool.

But if the black one really does look like those unboxing pictures, and really does not smudge, I really think I'm leaning towards the black 32GB.
 
I have a white iPhone 3G right now and I'm upgrading to a white one again. The white may not look as professional, but its the best at looking clean (i.e. doesn't show smudges).
 
i ordered the black case. the white looks... too childish, IMO. like a fake iphone you'd buy for your toddler to play with so s/he feels like mommy and daddy

but i have a couple questions about the white:

how come it cracks? is it made of a weaker plastic?
and
say one bought the white and something happened to it, went to apple and got it replaced. would it automatically be a white replacement? or could you get the other color if wanted, granted it's the same size?
 
Do we really need these kinds of threads? Does it really matter if John in Indiana is getting the black one while Peter in Wyoming is getting the white one?

I have ordered a 16GB white (32GB is new £300 which is just too much!)
 
I'm getting the 16gb White iPhone 3G S which will replace my current Black 8gb 3G.

I always liked Apple's "signature" white products and figured it is a classic. Additionally, I will be passing my black iPhone on to my partner and want us to have some "ying-yang" going on! :)
