All iPads On my ipad and friends iPods email issue

At school me and a couple of friends who have :apple: products are suffering from not being able to iMessage or FaceTime. When we try to FaceTime/iMessage it says this email is not registered with iTunes. I have an iPad mini FYI and i only got it on Christmas Day.
