Well, since my iPhone 3g's ringer switch broke off yesterday, I had to go to the Apple store to get a replacement. Although I was made about something going wrong already, the manager himself switched it out in 5 minutes, no problem, and then offered up any of his employees to help out the other people in my party in front of anyone who was waiting. So a bad experience turned into a good one. My question for you guys is: Have you had to swap out your new phone because of any defects?

How did you manage to break your ringer switch. Seems like it would take a lot of effort to break that.

The switch was really stiff when I got it and I went to switch it to vibrate and the glue underneath the metal crumbled, and the metal tab popped up. If you search the forum for "broken ringer switch", you will find that it has happened to other people and there is even an article written about it. There is also a link to that in that thread as well.
