on old OS i could more quickly reach favourite apps . can i do this better in wOS10?

Sorry its a badly worded question.

in wOS9 or earlier, i could press the big side button which would bring up my most used apps first. useful for quickly reaching Forza to look at football scores, or if i was playing golf and for some reason hole19 had closed and i had to reopen it.

Now, almost certainly im missing something, but i press crown and i get all of my apps in alphabetical order, i have to scroll down to find the app i needed which is much slower, annoying with hole19 as im trying to quickly get my score or yardage and not be held up, Forza often its sat in a restaurant and wanting to discretely check how my team are doing.


is there a quicker way to access my favourite apps now?

Double click the crown to open your list of recent apps. Chances are your favorite apps are there. Also, "Siri, open <app>."

Change App View to Grid from List, and arrange so your 17 most used apps are on the first page of the grid. Watch app (on phone) -> App View

Now press crown and tap on the desired app icon

This. This is what I have done to sort of get the dock functionallity back for favorites.
