On restart: "Continue the installation?"

Whenever I restart my Mac Pro 5,1 with 10.8.5, the shutdown halts for a few minutes with the question "Continue the installation?, Choose abort if you wish to...".

Does anyone know what this is and how I can make it go away? Is there an error log I can check?
